Speed bumps may work better

While speed humps are intended to slow down traffic, many motorists are able to go over them without significantly reducing their speed, rendering these humps ineffective in ensuring pedestrian safety.

Speed bumps would be a more effective solution as these are designed to be more disruptive to drivers, forcing them to slow down significantly. This would greatly improve pedestrian safety and encourage drivers to be more vigilant when approaching zebra crossings, especially near schools.

Keep documents for longer

Companies are now required to keep accounts and documents for five years.

Since this is the digital age, most of the documents are in digital form.

May I suggest that these documents and accounts be kept for 20 years to facilitate fraud and tax investigations?

Attract top SPL scorers to remain here

With the Singapore Premier League (SPL) now completing its seventh week, we are already seeing that the top scorers emerging are Tomoyuki Doi (12 goals), Kodai Tanaka (eight goals), and Boris Kopitovic (six goals).

All three attacking talents were also top scorers in the previous SPL seasons.

It is time for the Football Association of Singapore to set up programmes to attract them to take up permanent residency and then citizenship.
