Hassle using lockers at pools

Several steps are involved just to use the touchscreen lockers at public swimming pool complexes. After selecting a locker, we key in our mobile number and an ad hoc password, then choose the duration. After accepting the terms and conditions, we pay by launching the ActiveSG app on our phones to scan the QR code on the machine screen.

Finally, we enter the password in the ActiveSG e-wallet to confirm payment.

With the manual lockers, we just had a key with a tag indicating the locker number.

Rein in kids speeding on bikes

I was recently at Our Tampines Hub. It was very crowded and children were riding their bicycles and kick scooters haphazardly and speedily without looking out for the elderly and those on wheelchairs. I even saw a few riding in the FairPrice supermarket without being stopped by the staff.

While there is no sign to prohibit such rides, I believe parents should be more considerate and not think their children have the right to play anywhere and not worry about others’ safety and property.

Extend promotion period for CDC vouchers

I would like to thank the Government for the generous CDC vouchers given recently.

Many supermarkets were enticing shoppers to use their CDC vouchers by offering return vouchers for minimum amounts spent over a promotion period of a few days. As such, there was a lot of mindless buying and frantic queues at supermarkets around the island.

Why couldn’t they have some community spirit by extending the window to get the return vouchers over a month or so?
