Forum: Bus lanes give cyclists a safe space to travel

As an avid cyclist, I beg to differ with Mr Peter Heng’s suggestion (

Allow heavy goods vehicles to use bus lanes

, Nov 7).

I cycle to work daily, and in my view, bus lanes are the only safe place to be during peak hours.

While I use the park connectors where I can, there are still shortcomings as some places are not linked.

I cannot imagine having to avoid lorries and trucks along with buses during bus lane operating hours.

I hope the authorities will leave bus lanes to buses and give cyclists like me a bit of safe space to travel.
