Forum: Accessibility an important part of inclusivity

There has been much talk about building an inclusive society. I support it wholeheartedly.

One important factor that contributes towards inclusivity is having proper access to places.

Functioning lifts are key to that for someone in a wheelchair. This remains one of the biggest challenges I face.

In February, the lift that leads to Tan Tock Seng Hospital from Novena MRT station was not working. In May, the lift to Ang Mo Kio MRT station was not working. It is very disheartening indeed.

I understand that problems occur and are often not in our hands. But it can be very disheartening when you are alone and in a wheelchair.
