Forget Tosh Zhang, remember who Pink Dot is fighting for

Actor Tosh Zhang was among four ambassadors unveiled on May 15 by Pink Dot, the annual event which aims to raise awareness of issues that affect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) people. But he quit before he even started.

Old tweets by Zhang with misogynistic and homophobic remarks resurfaced shortly after he was named. Unable to take the ensuing heat, he left his role three days after - a decision that took the organisers by surprise.
