Filipina Carina Dayondon fulfilled her quest while saddled with debt and a personal loss

When it came to trail running, cycling and kayaking, Ms Carina Dayondon was at the top of her game. But she floundered at swimming.

In one adventure race, she swam 2km with a life jacket. It took her two hours to finish that leg of the race. More experienced swimmers completed it in 30 minutes.
