Now that the Hungry Ghost Month is almost behind us, I can soon walk with a lighter step. 

Since I was young, my mother had drummed into me a list of things not to do during the month, when ghosts are said to be released from hell for their annual holiday on earth, according to traditional Chinese beliefs.
