It is disheartening that almost all the news about the Ramadan annual bazaars has been about high rentals and disgruntled stallholders.
The two biggest and oldest bazaars, in the Malay heartland of Geylang Serai and the historic district of Kampong Glam, have also been accused of eschewing traditional fare and promoting hipster food.
