Love is in the air. By that, we mean another tranche of CDC vouchers is coming. In January 2027, every household will get an additional $300 of CDC vouchers to cushion the impact of inflation. For some, that’s $300 to spend on date nights.
Second finance minister and transport minister Jeffrey Siow said he uses his vouchers for late-night grocery runs at a 24-hour NTUC FairPrice with his wife. “It’s my date night,” he added. Some found his comment relatable. Others winced. But he is far from the first person to use CDC vouchers on a date.
