WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton walked away from US$850 million (S$1.1 billion) worth of stock when he left Facebook in late 2017.

He and co-founder Jan Koum had sold WhatsApp, the world's biggest messaging service, to Facebook for US$22 billion in 2014.
