Budget airline? Sure, but good basic service still a must

Better handling of flight delays, with regular updates and swift refunds, can help ease travellers' woes

A spate of flight delays in recent weeks has made many Scoot customers unhappy.

The incidents that came to light from last Nov 25 stemmed mainly from different technical problems with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. They caused delays ranging from a few hours to up to 56 hours for thousands of passengers.
