The "Way" (Dao, 道) refers to the ability to rally the people together with the leadership, to an extent that they are willing to follow their leaders in life and death, and would not fear.

团结就是力量 meaning "Unity is strength", is an age-old Chinese adage. In many ways, this has been echoed throughout human history.
