Are older generations doing right by their young?

The Hong Kong protests are an example of what happens when the young are let down by their elders and betters. It's important to give young people a good future and to accommodate their desires.

Scrolling through my wire and Feedback news feeds, I have been assailed in recent weeks with a sense of gratitude bordering on complacency about being Singaporean.

I feel that on many big issues of governance, we've got it mostly right.
