A ‘big buffet’ Budget, but its impact will depend on take-up

The innocuous-sounding title of Budget 2024, “Building Our Shared Future Together”, summarises the spirit of what is to come.

Its first message is one of inclusiveness: The future does not belong to any particular group – its benefits are to be shared across society, spanning business interests both big and small; workers, especially the less well-off and those in mid-career; students; seniors as well as people with disabilities and special needs.
