Singaporean pool player Aloysius Yapp’s self-belief was given a massive boost after he made history by becoming the first player to win three consecutive Matchroom major titles with his US Open victory. 

Meanwhile, Singapore powerlifter Farhanna Farid too was thrilled to notch her 12th career world record following her outstanding performance at the World Games in Chengdu.

Separately, Paralympic swimming champion Yip Pin Xiu will be gunning for golds No. 8 and 9 at the Los Angeles Games in 2028. But first, the Singaporean will be aiming to make a big splash at the upcoming World Para Swimming Championships in home waters.
