Dear ST reader,

Billionaire Forrest Li’s mission will be to create memorable moments once he takes over the helm of the Football Association of Singapore. But rival candidate Darwin Jalil has appealed to Fifa against his team’s disqualification from the FAS elections.

Meanwhile, the Li-led team Lion City Sailors are involved in a spat with their Asian Champions League Two final opponents, UAE side Sharjah FC, who questioned the suitability of Jalan Besar Stadium as the venue.

Lastly, a dozen Singapore athletes are in high spirits after they were named in the inaugural batch of recipients of the spexEducation scholarship from Sport Singapore.
