SINGAPORE - Catch up on the hottest topics on The Straits Times' weekday talk show.

The Big Story, broadcast every weekday at 5.30pm on Facebook and YouTube, has reporters and senior editors discussing the top stories of the day.

The show is helmed by multimedia correspondent Hairianto Diman and assistant video editor Olivia Quay, and airs live from ST's digital studio.

From Wednesday (Jan 27), seniors aged 70 years old and above can receive their Covid-19 vaccine shots.

The vaccination pilots will begin in Ang Mo Kio and Tanjong Pagar, where a larger number of elderly residents reside.

Meanwhile, Covid-19 restrictions will be tightened from Tuesday (Jan 26) and will apply to the upcoming Chinese New Year.

In an askST segment, we answer questions that our readers have on these new restrictions.

Across the causeway, Malaysia's Health Ministry said the second Movement Control Order - or MCO 2.0 - may not be extended beyond the tentative Feb 4 end date.

We speak to Malaysia Bureau Chief Shannon Teoh. He will share more on how the Malaysian government intends to strike a balance between protecting lives and livelihoods amid the pandemic.
