SINGAPORE - Catch up with the hottest topics on The Straits Times' (ST) weekday talk show.
The Big Story, broadcast every weekday at 5.30pm on Facebook and YouTube, has reporters and senior editors discussing the top stories of the day, in the heart of the newsroom.
Helmed by multimedia journalist Dylan Ang and assistant video editor Olivia Quay, the show airs live from ST's digital studio.
We will kick off Monday's episode (March 2) with Malaysia Bureau Chief Shannon Teoh. He will talk about Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's first day as Malaysia's Prime Minister, after he was sworn in on Sunday morning.
We will then give an update on the global coronavirus situation, which has escalated in the United States, Italy, and South Korea in the past days.
A second American has died from the coronavirus, while New York has also confirmed its first case.
Meanwhile, Indonesia has reported two cases of the virus on Monday - the first confirmed cases in the country.
News Editor Zakir Hussain will then discuss the Ministry of Home Affairs' investigations into the Singapore chapter of Shincheonji (SCJ) church over its deceptive recruitment methods.
The church made headlines when a large number of coronavirus cases in Daegu, South Korea, were reported to be linked to the SCJ chapter there.
We will then end the show with the latest updates from the Budget debate in Parliament.
Topics covered in previous episodes of The Big Story include Dr Mahathir resigning as Prime Minister of Malaysia, and the 12-year-old Raffles Institution student among those affected here.
