ST News Night: S'pore urges de-escalation of situation in Myanmar

News Night's top story on Tuesday (March 2) - Singapore foreign minister Vivian Balakrishnan and other Asean foreign ministers met this afternoon. They held an informal virtual meeting with Myanmar's envoy to try and resolve the worsening violence in the country since the military coup on Feb 1.

Separately, veteran actor Terence Cao was charged with allegedly breaking safe distancing rules. Cao and another male guest are accused of breaching phase two regulations that restricted social gatherings to no more than five people at Mediacorp artiste Jeffrey Xu's birthday party last year.
