White to colour in 5km

The shores of Sentosa were bathed in a multi-coloured powder over the weekend, thanks to The Color Run Tropicolor World Tour 2016.

Over 12,000 people participated in the 5km, untimed event in which "Color Runners" are doused from head to toe in different colours at each kilometre.

Dubbed "The Happiest 5k on the Planet", the event was founded in March 2011 "to promote healthiness and happiness by bringing the community together" in over 200 cities and 40 countries annually. It is in its fourth edition in Singapore

This year, participants got to experience an all-new Tropicolor Zone on the course, where a tropical array of colours and island scents awaited them as they passed through the shade of palm trees, arches, and island-style music.

The run ended at the Finish Festival at Rainbow Beach, an interactive island featuring music, dancing, unique photo opportunities, and massive colour throws.

The run had two criteria: Wear white at the starting line and finish plastered in colour!
