Seeing art in a new light

Resembling an alien spaceship from another world, this eye-catching art installation is among the works featured at iLight Marina Bay 2018.

Called Octopoda, the interactive artwork features eight "tentacle" drums which light up when passers-by hit the drums.

It was created by Sydney-based lighting and design studio Amigo & Amigo.

This year's edition of the festival, which starts from tomorrow until April 1 at Marina Bay Waterfront, features 22 light art installations created by artists from Singapore and around the world.

The installations are designed with energy-saving lighting and recycled or environmentally friendly materials.
