Mixing art with mud

Artists from the group, Deviation Collective, taking part in the performance called Cegos, or Blind, in front of the Planalto Palace, in Brasilia, Brazil, on Thursday.

The Collective is a group from the city of Sao Paulo and their work, Cegos, is defined by the group as an open work of different readings - "reducing our existence to the productive function and consumption, overwork, imprisonment and the petrification of life".

The performance constitutes dozens of men and women, in social costumes, covered in clay and blindfolded.

The group has performed in 23 Brazilian states and the countries of Portugal, Spain, Holland, France, the United States and Canada.
