Time lapse photographer Sam Yeldham was attempting to capture a sequence of storm clouds scudding across the harbour at Bradleys Head in Sydney when he saw a couple in their wedding finery, trying to decide whether the weather would cooperate so they could shoot their special occasion.
As luck would have it, the storm clouds held, and the sun broke out for a stunning moment. The couple stepped into Mr Yeldham's frame, locked in a brief embrace, and he snapped it.
After he posted his striking image onto Instagram at the weekend, looking for the couple, it went viral. He received a reply on Wednesday from the groom, Mr Chris Galvin, on honeymoon in Hawaii with Ms Jessica Pearson.
Mr Yeldham, 28, told The Straits Times that the shot was his most viewed, noting: "I think it is because it captures two really powerful forces - love, represented quite traditionally by the bride and groom, and nature, shown through the overwhelming and rather impending storm. I think it is a really nice juxtaposition."
