In Pictures: Myanmar's 'Ruby Land'

Myanmar produces an estimated 90% of the world's supply of rubies. Mogok, a city about 200km north of Mandalay, is well-known for mining this precious stone, giving it the title "Ruby Land". Rubies from the region are prized for their vibrant blood-red colour and purity.
