In Pictures: Hurricane Matthew devastates Haiti, lashes US

A soaring death toll and large areas of destroyed houses in Haiti bear testament to Hurricane Matthew's fury. In the US, the hurricane triggered mass evacuations along the coast from Florida, where four people died, through Georgia and into South Carolina and North Carolina.
