From hill to the heavens

An 11m-high replica of the Christ the Redeemer statue being lifted by helicopter from Guschastein hill above Pfaefers in Switzerland yesterday. The art piece was part of a regional art show.

The replica is one-third the size of Rio's original art deco statue of Jesus Christ, which was created by French sculptor Paul Landowski and overlooks the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro.

The replica was also shown at the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz Festival of Sculpture in Switzerland last year.
