Four legs good, three wheels better

Tuk tuk polo is basically the same as regular polo, only instead of riding four-legged horses, players drive three-wheeled auto-rickshaws. The motorised version of the sport has the same rules as the equestrian version.

The annual competition is a highlight in the southern Sri Lankan city of Galle.

This year's tournament took place in fine weather last weekend.

There were thrills aplenty - and some spills - as teams slugged it out for the Lakderana Cup and over 425,000 rupees (S$4,130) in cash prizes.
