Why walk when you can run?
Why swim when you can fly?
This daredevil might have taken this saying to heart when he leapt off a 22m-tall bridge in an annual high-diving competition near the Kosovo town of Gjakova on Sunday.
The competition, which dates back about 60 years, is a traditional event that is gaining popularity despite being disrupted by the 1998-99 Kosovo conflict, reported The Telegraph.
One by one, with arms outstretched, the fearless divers took the plunge from the top of the bridge into the White Drin river, while safety boats waited below.
Crowds packed the riverbank for the best vantage points from which to watch the action unfold.
During the warm summer months, the riverbank is also a popular destination for camping families and picnickers.
