Alphonsus Chern is an executive photojournalist with The Straits Times. In the last eight years with the local broadsheet, he has photographed practically every kind of event in Singapore and won numerous in-house and international awards.
He likes to photograph landscapes, science, maritime, engineering, and defence-related assignments. He likes to be up and about, walking the ground and taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the tiny and crowded island he calls home.
