The much-anticipated 36th Hong Kong Film Awards on Sunday (April 9) saw a wave of young talent stealing the show from veterans. Crime thriller Trivisa, directed by emerging film-makers Frank Hui, Jevons Au and Vicky Won, was the big winner of the night, bagging five major awards for best film, director, actor, screenplay and film-editing. Held at Tsim Sha Tsui’s Hong Kong Cultural Centre, the award ceremony was a star-studded event attended by celebrities such as director Raymond Wong and actresses Zhang Ziyi and Zhao Wei.
