As Twitter user Kawanabesatou has shown, they can be a cocktail mixologist, sushi server or owner of a tombstone shop.

His photos show these chubby rodents placed in miniature settings, like a restaurant, and engaged in human activities.

The scenes are highly detailed and colourful and the hamsters look right at home.

Kawanabesatou has earned nearly 52,000 Twitter followers since he started posting pictures of his hamsters in the middle of October.
