ENGLAND

People are banned from mixing with other households indoors starting Oct 16 in London.

FRANCE

Residents must stay home between 9pm and 6am for four weeks with effect from Oct 17 in Paris and eight other French cities.

Restaurants close by midnight and limit the number of people per table to six.

Bars close at 6pm unless they can offer table service to seated customers.

Arrivals at schools are staggered to help with social distancing.

SPAIN

A partial lockdown is in place in and around Madrid after a 15-day state of emergency was invoked on Oct 9.

Non-essential movement in and out of the city of Madrid and several nearby municipalities is not allowed.

Bars and restaurants operate at 50 per cent capacity and must close at 11pm local time.

GERMANY

People in Berchtesgadener Land district of Bavaria are not allowed to leave their homes without valid reason for two weeks from Oct 20.

Schools, restaurants, bars, theatres, gyms, cinemas and hotels are closed.

IRELAND

Non-essential stores, bars and restaurants will close for at least six weeks from Oct 21.

Travel will be further restricted, with people told to stay within 5km of their home.

BELGIUM

All restaurants, bars and cafes will remain closed for four weeks, starting Oct 19.

A curfew from midnight to 5am will also take effect.

MALAYSIA

A Conditional Movement Control Order is in place in KL, Selangor and Putrajaya from Oct 14 to 27, prohibiting inter-district and inter-state travel.

Only two people from each household are allowed to leave home to shop.

Schools, daycare centres, entertainment outlets, recreational centres are closed.

INDONESIA

A two-week "transitional" period of eased curbs in Jakarta from Oct 12 allows non-essential businesses to work from offices, but making use only of half their capacity.

Dine-in customers at restaurants are limited to 50 per cent of capacity.

SOUTH KOREA

Starting Oct 12, nightclubs, karaokes and buffet restaurants are allowed to re-open.

Churches and stadiums are allowed to fill 30 per cent of seating capacity, but catering services and small group gatherings in church are still banned.

High-risk activities such as door-to-door sales businesses remain banned.
