Why allow home owners to reserve parking space?

Mr Loh Keng Fatt's article on the issue of fair parking (Play Fair On Parking, Life, April 8) certainly hit the nail on the head.

While tolerance may be the keyword to resolving such issues amiably, much must be blamed on the authorities for unfairly allowing private house owners to reserve the public road space outside their homes for their exclusive use.
