What to make of Ford's floundering fortunes

By focusing on the truck market and cutting the number of models, the American carmaker may have lost its plot

Ford, an American car brand which has had a visible presence here since the 1920s, is probably facing its worst moment now.

The signs cannot be more stark. There are only two models available at Ford agent Regent Motor's showroom in Alexandra Road - the Mustang and the Ranger pick-up. Hardly fast-moving products to begin with.
