SINGAPORE - The Marriage and Parenthood Package of pro-family incentives and benefits was first introduced by the Government in 2001, to help couples defray the cost of having children as well as balance family and work responsibilities.

The package of baby bonus cash gift, child development account, personal income tax relief and rebate, and paternal and maternal leave was enhanced several times over the years.
