CALIFORNIA (REUTERS) - It will now cost you more money to visit Mickey Mouse and friends.

The Walt Disney Company announced plans to raise the price of some of its single-day tickets by about nine per cent.

The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, will bear the biggest increase in ticket prices.

Now, a single one-day ticket at just one theme park at Disneyland during peak hours will cost US$135 (S$178), up from last year's US$124.

That means, for a family of four, it will now cost more than US$500 to spend the day at Disneyland.

A single day value ticket will cost US$97.

Visitors to The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Orlando will also pay more money - between US$109 and US$129 for a single ticket.
