Bayview International Hotels and Resorts is having a flash sale, which usually happens annually.

Guests can save up to 40 per cent on room rates if they book by Sept 16 and stay by March next year.

For example, they can stay at the Sydney Boulevard Hotel with rates starting at A$175 (S$180) a night, including free Wi-Fi and buffet breakfast. A stay at the Bayview Hotel Georgetown Penang starts at RM200 (S$66) a night.

Plaza Premium Lounge is celebrating the opening of three new lounges in Brazil's Rio de Janeiro- Galeao Tom Jobim International Airportwith 15 per cent off on lounge use packages at the airport. The offer is valid till Oct 31.

One of the lounges takes up 14,000 sq ft in the South Pier, a new extension of the airport.

Jetstar Asia has organised a contest for people in South-east Asia to submit their "travel fakie" - a selfie that gives the impression they are overseas when they are not.

Participants can post the photo - featuring any location within the Jetstar network of destinations - and tag Jetstar on Instagram (@jetstar asia), Facebook (@JetstarAsiaAirways) or Twitter (@Jetstar_ Asia).

They should explain where and what they are faking in the photo and include the #TravelFakie and #ActuallyInSingapore hashtags.

Each person is allowed one entry each day, but each participant can win only one prize.

The top two entries from Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore will each win a pair of Jetstar tickets to the destination in the photo.
