ETIHAD AIRWAYS' AIRFARE SALE

The Etihad Airways' business class sale, which started last Thursday, ends tomorrow. The airline is offering up to 50 per cent off its business-class fares from Singapore to destinations such as Abu Dhabi and Dubai (from $2,921), London (from $4,269), Rome (from $3,357), Madrid (from $4,011) and New York (from $6,429).

Business-class passengers will have access to luxury airport lounges in more than 40 destinations, including the airline's premium lounge in Abu Dhabi, which has a Six Senses Spa.

Travellers to the United States will also be able to clear US Immigration and Customs while in transit at the exclusive US Pre-Clearance facility at the Abu Dhabi International Airport, and arrive in the US as a domestic passenger.

Members of the airline's frequent flyer programme, Etihad Guest, can earn miles on these promotional fares, which are valid for travel between April 25 and Dec 12.

NEW WELLNESS TRAVEL WEBSITE

US-based website BookRetreats.com, which calls itself the Airbnb for wellness tourism, will launch on Tuesday.

Hoping to change the way travellers book their vacations while tapping into the US$440-billion (S$594-billion) wellness tourism market, the website has picked over 250 yoga, meditation and surf retreats and yoga teacher training camps in 34 countries.

Users can search for retreats and holidays based on specific yoga styles, destinations and duration, and also read related reviews.

REFURBISHED RETREAT

Anantara has announced the reopening of its Anantara Medjumbe Island Resort in Mozambique. The adults-only resort on Medjumbe Island features 12 thatched-roof, beach-front pool villas.

Upgraded and refreshed with new decor highlighting the island's vibrant African identity and the bright blues of the surrounding waters of the Quirimbas National Park, each villa ($1,370 a night) has a view of the Indian Ocean.

Guests arrive at the resort via a 45-minute light aircraft transfer from Pemba International Airport, via transfer from Mozambique's capital Maputo or international flights from Johannesburg, South Africa, or Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

SIA AND LUFTHANSA LAUNCH NEW ROUTES

Singapore Airlines (SIA) and the Lufthansa Group are expanding their codeshare agreement with more than 20 new routes on Lufthansa and Swiss-operated flights.

They include flights to and from Berlin, Bremen, Brussels, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Geneva, Hamburg, Hanover, Nuremberg, Stuttgart and Vienna via transport hubs Munich and Zurich.

Lufthansa and Swiss customers will likewise be able to access codeshare travel on SIA-operated flights serving South-east Asia and the south-west Pacific.
