Six Senses luxury hotel and spa group opened its first residential project in Europe this month.

Located in the French Alps ski resort town of Courchevel, the 53-apartment property has one- to three-bedroom apartments and five-bedroom duplex penthouse suites.

The resort has mountain views, wine cellars, balconies overlooking the ski slopes, a 24-hour concierge and ski-on, ski-off access to the ski runs.

A Six Senses Spa will also open on the property in autumn next year and its services will be available to resort guests and visitors.

The apartments are available for weekly rentals till the end of April and include additional services such as breakfast, daily cleaning, linen and home products. Rental rates are from US$6,150 (S$8,690) to US$40,000 a week.

In partnership with Ooredoo telecommunications company, Qatar Airways is providing all passengers with free Wi-Fi access for the first 15 minutes of their flight on all A380, A350, B787, A319 and select A320 and A330 aircraft.

Passengers who wish to remain connected can buy additional access for US$5 (S$7) an hour and US$10 for three hours from point of purchase or pay US$20 for the duration of the flight.

InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort in Vietnam was named the World's Leading Luxury Resort for the second year in a row at the World Travel Awards held in El Jadida, Morocco, last week.

The 200-room, five-star resort in the heart of the Son Tra Peninsula nature reserve outside Danang also won Asia's Leading Luxury Resort and Asia's Leading Hotel Dining & Entertainment Experience in the awards ceremony for Asian categories last month.

Hilton Hotels and Resorts is offering free Wi-Fi access and up to 30 per cent off its best available rates for its properties in Asia.

The 30 participating hotels include Hilton Colombo in Sri Lanka, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Conrad Bali and Conrad Bangkok. The offer is valid for bookings made by Feb 14 for stays till Dec 31 next year.

The non-flexible bookings must be made at least three days in advance of arrival. Full payment is required at the point of booking.
