SINGAPORE - It was the threat of war that sparked Mr Gabriel Segoine's crusade for peace.

In 2006, North Korea conducted two rounds of missile tests off the country's east coast, drawing flak from the international community. But Mr Segoine was drawn instead to the waves he saw in the background of news reports.
