Meghan Trainor announces that she is cancelling her MTrain tour after suffering from a hemorrhaged vocal cord.
(REUTERS) Meghan Trainor is cancelling her MTrain tour and plans to have surgery following a haemorrhaged vocal cord. The 21-year-old pop singer posted a statement on Instagram on Tuesday announcing the news.
Her statement read, "To all my fans - I was being careful and taking precautions, but I have haemorrhaged my vocal cord again. I got bronchitis & have been coughing a lot & that pushed it over the edge. Sadly, I will need to cancel the remainder of my tour and get surgery to finally fix this once and for all."
The singer, who rocketed to the top of the charts last year with her hit song, All About That Bass, had previously cancelled performances in July due to vocal cord issues. Her tour was supposed to continue into September with stops in Nashville, Atlanta, and Chicago among other cities.
