In early 2018, Punggol Primary School extended its recess time by 15 minutes twice a week for Primary 3 and 4 pupils so that they have more time for unstructured play.

Earlier this month, The Straits Times reported that several schools here have become more flexible in structuring curriculum time.
As Singapore moves away from secondary school streaming and towards subject-based banding, it is also a good time to reflect on tapping into different ways of teaching and learning in schools.
