THE TERESA TENG MUSICAL

The life story of the late Taiwanese singer Teresa Teng - her rise to stardom and the heartaches she suffered from failed romances - will play on stage in this musical, timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of her death. She died at the age of 42 in 1995 from an asthma attack. The superstar will be played by Hong Kong stage actress Perry Chiu.

ART AFTER DARK

The cluster of art galleries and the NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore in Gillman Barracks will open till late tonight in celebration of Singapore Art Week (above), which ends on Sunday. Ongoing exhibitions in this visual art enclave include Scout, a pop-up exhibition held in converted shipping containers, which features 25 Singapore artists. There will also be live music performances in the area.

HUMAN BESTIARY

A highlight of the M1 Singapore Fringe Festival, this play by Mexican theatre group Principio features five female actors who explore the issues of animal extinction and environmental destruction. This multimedia production incorporates video projections and live music spun by a DJ.
