SINGAPORE - When financial services executive Geraldine Ding's life was rocked by a sudden personal setback two years ago, she decided to take a five-day vacation in Phuket.

But this was not a lazy few days with a book on a beach. The $3,500 trip to Thanyapura Health and Sports Resort came with a wellness coach, dietitian and doctor, as well as classes like yoga and kick-boxing.
