Skincare and cosmetics labels looking to expand in the region are drawn to launch here first as the country's multicultural and savvy shoppers make it an attractive test bed for products

Financial adviser Georgina Goh usually buys three beauty products every month. Depending on what skincare and make-up she needs and what catches her eye when she shops, the 28-year-old bachelorette spends $150 to $250 on each beauty haul.

"Shopping for new skincare products is like a treat for myself at the end of every month. It's something small that can be satisfying and also pampering."
