A video of a cat standing on its hind legs is going viral on Facebook.

The video, originally posted by Daily Mail, had 1.1 million views at the time of writing.

Hailed as the real-life version of Garfield, the ginger tabby cat holds this pose for almost one minute, while it stares out of a living room window, according to the Daily Mail.

In the background of the video, music plays as the cat moves its right paw up and down a few times. It is not known where the video was shot.

The video prompted a series of Facebook comments from curious users.

Some wondered about what held the cat's attention for so long. Suggestions included a mouse and a game of baseball.

Commenter Dona Harris said: "I think he's watching TV."

This is not the first time cats standing on two legs have made waves on the Internet.

A year ago, George the cat caused a stir for walking on two legs. It has its own Instagram account, which currently has 61,000 followers.

In these pictures, George is photographed in human-like poses. In one photo, the cat stands in front of an open refrigerator.

Another photo shows George standing on a chair facing a plate of food on the dining table.
