Reading with my son is maddening

It is perhaps the most frustrating thing I have done, more so than pleading with the five-year-old to eat his broccoli night after night

I recently started putting in more effort to read with my five-year-old as he embarks on the early stages of linguistic excellence.

I quickly realised two things: No. 1, teachers must have infinite and exceptional patience, and No. 2, English is hard. It is difficult, problematic, onerous and burdensome.
