SINGAPORE - Shop till you drop at Pedestrian Night on Orchard Road on July 4.

Roads along a stretch from Scotts Paterson Junction to Bideford Junction will be closed between 6pm and 11pm.

Retailers along Singapore's main shopping drag will be offering flash sales and promotions on Saturday.

Here are some of the sales, and other events, to look out for.

1. Wing Tai brands - 15 per cent off total bill

If you like brands such as Topshop/Topman, Dorothy Perkins and Miss Selfridge, Saturday is the best time to grab that outfit you have been eyeing. This promotion is valid only at the lifestyle company's stores in Orchard.

2. Shopping party at Tangs

The department store's A-List shopping party at Tangs Plaza from 6pm to 10pm features a pop-up barber for gentlemanly grooming needs. You can also take your old sneakers to be personalised with punk-rock stylings by Singapore-based sneaker artists SBTG (which stands for sabotage).

If these two events do not appeal, you can go window shopping in Tangs itself which is extending shopping hours till 11pm for the day.

3. Flame of the Forest

Singaporean instrumental band Flame of the Forest - famous for its classic Indian music - will release its EP debut album at Ngee Ann City fountain at 7.30pm. Brothers Govin and Krsna Tan will play the tabla and sitar, along with guitarist Christopher Johann Clarke, in the two-hour set.

4. Shopping promotion at Metro Paragon

Spend a minimum of $100 in a single receipt and get a $10 Metro gift voucher at Metro Paragon. The promotion is on from 6pm to 9.30pm.

5. Flash sales at Orchard Central

Between 6pm and 11pm, selected stores at Orchard Central will have flash sales.
