In the past two weeks, the music video for hip-hop artist Childish Gambino's new song This Is America has been making headlines for its stark, unflinching imagery of gun violence and race relations in the United States.
The video, directed by Japanese film-maker Hiro Murai, has clocked more than 140 million views since it was first released on YouTube on May 5 and the song went straight to No. 1 on the American Billboard charts and No. 2 on Spotify's Singapore charts.
