My parents and I: Under one roof again

Getting my ageing parents to move in with me has wrought changes all round. While we all have had to give up some personal space and freedom, the hope is that the mutual care and concern will make up for any loss

My parents were understandably reluctant when I first broached the idea of them moving in with me.

Besides having to sell their house, they would also have to be uprooted from a neighbourhood they had called home for nearly 20 years.
